How do I use databases and electronic resources from off campus?
To access subscription databases such as EBSCOhost, Infotrac and OVID start with the McConnell Library web page and use the links from this page to link to those restricted databases. You'll be prompted for your RU username and password. As long as you are a registered student or employed at RU, this is all you need!
What if I don't know my RU username and password?
Go to Radford University Portal, click on the Account Activation (New Users) button on the left of the page and follow the instructions.
If you have forgotten your e-mail password, click on the Forgot your password? link on the left of the page.
If you are located within the local calling areas, you may set up your computer to dial directly into Radford University using a toll-free number.
To set up your computer, read the Information Technology Resources FAQ page about Connecting to the Internet from Off Campus. From that page you will want to open the "Startup Guide" file for the operating system on your computer (Windows 95/98/ME, Windows XP, or MacOS).
